This cute little piece of artwork was made from a Sycamore branch. Using wood carving tools, I hallowed the branch into the shape of a small box. On the side of the box, I burned a Cedar Waxwing bird sitting in a Cherry tree heavy with Spring blooms. The button clasp on this box was made with leather and a piece of Sycamore wood carved into the shape of a Cherry Blossom. Color was applied using colored wood stain.
